First of all, this is not spam, I actually wrote this lol, and no I'm not trying to sell you anything. I'm writing this because I think it's something that is important for people to know, and it's something that has a lot of scientific base to it. My good friend Mark Thomas is the one that planted this whole idea in my head so all credit goes to him. I'll explain it, and once I do, you'll see why I feel this makes sense. Most importantly, I'm writing this because I think it will help a lot of my friends, family and even you. I do welcome your comments of course.
The Negative: Have you ever known someone who always tells you how bad their day was, and when they do, they have a laundry list of things that has gone wrong for them today and they constantly worry about the next bad thing that's going to happen? Without fail, they were right too, something else does happen to them. You wonder "how could so many bad things happen to this person?" or "They must have horrible luck."
I will use my most recent experience. Yes, I do think negatively sometimes. Sometimes I worry about things that are beyond my control. I usually don't let it show, but man let me tell ya, inside my head during these times, I'm one negative asshole.
So recently the brakes on our truck started making this funny noise. Trying to think positively (aka pressing my luck), I thought "well this isn't too bad. We'll have them checked out when we get the chance." I kept thinking about the brakes though and everytime I heard the noise I thought "please don't get worse". Well for no reason that I'm aware of and completely separate from the brake issue, weeks later while driving down the highway, our front passenger side tire blew out. Once it was fixed on the roadside, I found myself thinking "Geez, what could possibly go wrong next. I kept thinking about the tire going out, and hoping it was ok to keep driving now that it was fixed. When I say that I thought about the brakes and tire, that is quite an understatement. I was obsessed worrying that it would be ok. Sure enough, days later our truck began it's rebellion of not wanting to start. We'd stop at a gas station and would be stuck there for about a half hour before the truck would start again. The time frame would get longer each time. At one point we were stuck for almost an hour and thought "God damn it! I can't catch a break!" Well this time, from trying to start the truck for so long,. Our battery died. All of this was like a chain reaction. It seemed that the more I had hoped with everything inside me that it wouldn't get worse.....it did.
This was a more specific personal example, but it's not unique. I'm sure there have been many times when you feel financially strapped and you begin to worry about money, the last thing you need right now is another bill, only to check the mail and have 3 bills or collection notices. The point is that everyone deals with this scenario in one form or another. There is a reason for this and I'll explain it shortly.
The Positive: You'll hear a lot of people say, "You can be anything you want if you believe in yourself." Many people don't realize what this means. Believing in yourself does not mean doing the same dumb shit and believing that one day, that same dumb shit will become anything more than dumb shit.
Remember when you were a child? Many of us as children had that one thing that we wanted really badly for Christmas. Maybe it was a certain action figure, or a bike, etc. For me when I was really young, it was a Playstation and then later a computer. I wanted that damn playstation so bad that I obsessed over it. I had dreams about it in which I actually thought I had it and was playing it. I'd wake up so happy. While I had no reason to believe I was getting it, I still did. I was so cocky about it. My mom would say "Lexi don't be upset if Santa can't bring it." and I'd always have that attitude "Oh he's bringing it". Christmas morning, I woke up to a Playstation. Of course, there was no magic trick here....my mom and my grandma bought me a Playstation for Christmas. The point I'm making is that I was so sure that I was getting a Playstation that I never thought of the possibility of not getting it. I truly believed with every part of my being that I was getting it. If I wouldn't have, I would have been disappointed but my mind would have immediately shifted to "Oh, I must be getting it for my birthday". I never gave up on the idea that I was getting it or that I already had it and just needed to wait for it.
When we were kids, we didn't know exactly what it meant to be "negative" because we had the mind of a child. A child has to be taught that sometimes in life, things aren't always positive and things don't always workout. That is where we as adults are taught to be "realistic" (aka suspiciously negative).
Energy: Everything we know and everything that exists is nothing but energy. People, animals, plants, air, planets, stars, etc. Anything that you can think of, including the phone or computer you're using, and even YOU are all made of exactly the same things and ultimately one thing.....energy. Don't believe me? Let's look at it.
If you touch your arm or feel your hand, it feels solid. This is why it's hard to believe that we are nothing more than energy. However, what is your skin made of? Skin is made of cells, which are made of molecules, which are made of atoms, which are made of......? Energy. Everything in existence can be broken down to molecules and atoms and energy, thus no matter how solid something may seem, it's still nothing more than energy.
Now that this is explained, let's take a look at the scientific Law of Attraction. Simply put, positive energy attracts positive energy and negative energy attracts negative energy.
The Key: Now with these things explained, knowing that literally everything is made of energy, and finally knowing the Law of Attraction....it only makes sense that if you project positive energy, then positive energy will be attracted to you. If you project negative energy, then negative energy will be attracted to you.
Emotion itself is an energy. You can either feel positive emotion such as love, happiness, etc, or you can feel negative energy such as depression, anger, etc. Our emotion is directly driven by our thoughts. Our thoughts and our emotion directly drive our actions and the reactions of others around us, and directly affects the reaction of energy around us. That is to say that your feelings actually create your reality. For example, if you wake up in a bad mood and dwell on whatever has put you in a bad mood, you will have developed negative energy. You will find that more often than not, more negative energy will be attracted to you. Your whole day will be bad/negative unless you can find something to put you back into a positive mood, thus releasing positive energy which will attract positive energy.
The biggest problem we face is that we don't understand that it's what we focus on that becomes our reality. Because of this, we tend to know what we want, but focus on what we don't want. Energy doesn't know what you don't want, it's either positive or negative. So if you focus on something that you don't want, it turns your emotions into stress, worry and negativity. Your intentions may be absolutely great, but unless you focus on the right things in regards to your intentions, you will attract the wrong things.
Take an anti-war protest for example. Have you ever seen an anti-war protest end peacefully? No. Its because the people protesting have increased negative energy. When you disagree with something, it's human nature to argue your point. This is instant negativity, which in turn attracts more negative energy. The proper way to stand up for what you believe in is not by arguing your point, but instead displaying your belief. If you are anti-war, then you are pro-peace. So display peace instead of arguing about war.
Another problem that we have is that we are taught that some things are out of our reach, some things are too far fetched, too big, too small, etc. We may believe that wanting a million dollars is too big of a goal. We may really want that, but we replace the positive thoughts of wanting it with all of the negative reasons of why we will probably never get it.
Look at it this way, as I said it before.....What you focus on is what you will get. While there is more to this, the simplest way to make it more understandable is as follows:
Positive: I really want to be wealthy (you are focusing on wealth) Negative: I really don't want to be poor (you are focusing on being poor).
When you have a goal and you TRULY believe in the goal and that you can achieve it, it will cause you take opportunities and actions that direct you toward your goal. You have to have patience though. Sometimes we are right on the brink of success or almost at the goal line, but because we can't see it yet or we feel we are trying for nothing.....you immediately give up and feel a sense of failure, thus again creating negative energy.
So how do you know when you're making the right decisions or taking the right opportunities? Well it's simple. Energy can be controlled and set in motion by thought, energy keeps moving without thought. Positive thoughts, direct emotion and energy into a positive direction. Negative thoughts direct emotion and energy into a negative direction. However, once energy is in motion....yep just like we are taught, it stays in motion until it is stopped.
So, the best answer is; When an opportunity presents itself to you, if the opportunity makes you feel good...take it immediately, if the opportunity makes you feel negative, decline it. Thinking too much about an opportunity that makes you feel good can result in you not taking an opportunity that would have gotten you right where you want to be.
Remember that if something feels good to you immediately, it's usually because it's the right choice...at least for now. That is usually the opportunity that will take you to the next positive step in the road to your goal. That opportunity may stale after a while of course, but that simply means that you should be on the look out for the next positive opportunity.
When something you have that made you happy, begins to turn stale.....don't get negative thoughts, but instead feel grateful for that opportunity taking you to the next step. Never feel negative. Trust me, this will not be easy at first and you will probably want to give up many times. Just keep at it. Make "feeling good" a habit and I promise you will get the results you want.
The Final Answer: If you can master this and change your way of thinking, you can literally imagine your goals, and through positive energy, you can make them happen. Your positive thoughts create positive energy, which attracts positive energy, and this will drive you to take actions, make decisions, and take opportunities that will take you to your goal almost effortlessly. If you are happy, you are on the right track. If you are not happy then you are on the wrong track.
I'd love to hear your feedback. I know many of you will read this and think "WTF, this is stupid". Some of you may be willing to try it, and I'd love to hear from those of you that want to change your way of thinking to make this work for you. There may even be some of you that already do this and can lead or guide others with your experiences. I'd love to hear from you too.
